GFI Musical Products Availability

  • GFI pedal steel guitars are distributed and sold through our Dealer network and directly from the factory.

  • GFI parts, merchandise, and accessories are sold directly from the factory.

  • Pedal steel guitars are built on an as ordered basis; the factory does not currently stock any pre-made instruments.

  • Lead time on new instrument orders will depend on a variety of factors like the number of previous orders being filled, parts availability, etc.

  • We had an unusually large number of orders during the pandemic which caused a bit of a traffic jam in our production.  This continues to affect our lead times and makes estimating shipping times difficult.   Our best guess on instrument lead times is probably about 5-7 months, subject to change.  We appreciate your patience and please know we are doing all we can to get everyone's order out as quickly as possible.

  • The GFI factory is unable to take any trade-ins toward the purchase of a new instrument, though most of our Dealers are able to.

How to purchase directly from GFI

  • Orders for Professional Series  pedal steel guitars require a $1000.00 deposit and the balance will be due (including shipping charges) when the instrument is ready to ship.

  • Orders for Student Series  pedal steel guitars require a $500.00 deposit and the balance will be due (including shipping charges) when the instrument is ready to ship.

  • Pedal steel guitar orders will be shipped via UPS Ground service unless requested otherwise.

  • Orders for parts, merchandise, and accessories require payment in advance and will usually be shipped via the United States Postal Service.

  • Forms of payment accepted (US dollars only) are money order, cashier's check, credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), PayPal

GFI Factory Direct Sales Return Policy

  • Customer satisfaction is a top priority at GFI and we will do all we can to ensure you are happy with your GFI pedal steel guitar.

  • If you are still not satisfied with your GFI purchase directly from the GFI factory, you have 30 days to return the instrument to us at your expense in like new factory condition.  We will issue you a refund of the cost of the instrument less a 20% restocking fee (original shipping charges are non-refundable).

  • Customers returning instruments in less than like new factory condition will have the cost of any repairs/reconditioning necessary to return the instrument to like new factory condition deducted from their refund.

  • 50% of the deposit is non-refundable if an order is cancelled before the instrument is ready to ship

  • We cannot accept any returns of instruments with custom work.

  • All GFI pedal steel guitars have a LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY against defects in materials and workmanship.

NOTE ON SIZING:

  • Standard height is 26 1/4” from the floor to the bottom of the back rail that the knee must fit under.  We offer leg sets (including pedal rods) that are 1 or 2 inches taller or shorter than the standard height.

  • There is no charge for a non-standard height leg set at the time of a factory order.  See prices below for non-standard leg sets and pedal rods for an existing GFI pedal steel guitar.
